Jackson also proved to be a dangerous weapon at the plate, delivering two RBI or more in seven games last season, third most on the team. After stealing 13 bases in the first 23 games, Anthony was slowed by a nagging hamstring injury. Despite the pain, he battled through the season to appear in 49 games, including 44 starts last season. Jackson finished 2005 with a .253 average, 39 hits, eight doubles and 15 RBI. Anthony finished third on the Tigers with a .381 on-base percentage as a junior. He was tied for the team lead after being hit 11 times last season and drew 22 walks. Jackson's speed helped him supply the Tigers lone hit against Cal on Mar. 15 as he got an infield single in the ninth inning. In two contests against the Portland Pilots on Mar. 11 and Mar. 12, Jackson was 4-for-10 with four RBI, two runs scored and three stolen bases. Unfortunately the Tigers could not capitalize, dropping the first game 10-9, then falling 9-7. Just one week earlier, Jackson had a season-high three hits, going 3-for-4 with an RBI in the Tigers' 2-1 win over USF on Mar. 5. Anthony belted his first home run as a Pacific Tiger on Feb. 26 as the Tigers defeated the UCLA Bruins 7-5. Jackson earned a spot on the River City Classic All-Tournament Team in the opening month of 2005 as he helped the Tigers win the River City Classic Championship by scoring the winning run in the sixth inning against UC Davis on Sun. Feb. 13. Pacific won 2-1 over the Aggies. Anthony showcased his speed on Feb. 12 in helping Pacific to a 9-0 shutout win over USF at the River City Classic. He swipped a career-high three bases, while finishing the game 3-for-4 with three runs scored, a triple, and two RBI. In his first collegiate start with the Tigers, Anthony went 1-for-5 with an RBI in Pacific's season opening 5-4 win over Cal on Feb 1.<b>Junior College:</b> <p>One of four Tigers to come to Pacific after twoseasons at Modesto JC, Jackson helped lead the Pirates to a combined 37-13 record in 2003 and 2004. Anthony finished the 2004 seaosn with a .360 average, including 11 doubles and three home runs. A dangerous weapon at the top of the order, Jackson swiped 21 bases in two seasons at Modesto JC and tied the school record for HBP with 15 in 2004. Following the 2004 season, Anthony was named to the All-CVC (Central Valley Conference) First Team.<b>High School:</b> <p>Jackson graduated from Grace M. Davis High School in Modesto, Calif. As a member of the Spartans, Anthony was limited to just three years due to an injury prior to his senior season. As a junior, Jackson finished with a .340 average at the plate and was named to the All-CCC (Central California Conference) First Team.<b>Personal:</b> <p>Anthony Jackson is the son of Anthony and Estelle Jackson. He has two siblings, Antionette (21) and Andre (16). In his second year at Pacific, Anthony is a communication major.
